Where they're genuinely better
If you want to press play and follow along, Faithful Workouts has a deep library and byrna has none — byrna will hand you a program and expect you to run it. They also have Android and web, an active community with accountability groups, and a real recipe and meal-planning library. If those are what you're looking for, they're the better app and you should use them.
Where byrna goes further
byrna is built for someone who wants to get measurably stronger and wants their faith in the same daily habit:
- A program that progresses. Built from your goals, experience, schedule and injuries, then adjusted — it auto-deloads when two rough sessions or a week of bad sleep say you're run down.
- A coach that holds the pen. “My shoulder's bugging me, take this week lighter” — and the real plan changes, live on your calendar.
- A guided study, not just a reading plan. Every day opens with a verse from the World English Bible, shown exactly as written, with an optional study at the depth you choose. Free for everyone, never paywalled.
- One number. The Byrna Score reads consistency, goal progress, sleep and fuel across 28 days. It's goal-fair, so a beginner and a lifelong lifter can both climb to Elite.
